You're funny hihi...
I wasn't a professional..in february 1982, I was 17 years old, and was at the "lycée/college" preparing my last exam :the "Baccalauréat" before University...but the Cinema was just my Passion.

About Orson....indeed I knew that there was a Press Conference in this Big Hotel....so I went...and I enter to the Interview Room without Invitation and have finished shooting just under the table....just like that cause I was short with a big camera.. ;0)

But my best souvenir is 5 days later...Orson Welles has came in Paris for the "Cesar's Awards Ceremony"...in France it's the same as "Oscar's Awards Ceremony"...

After the Ceremony , the guests are use to eat at "The Fouquet's" which is a famous restaurant in The Champs Elysées avenue...
So I went to this Ceremony to take some pics....I don't remember if this year I was in the backstage for photographs or just outside..All that I remind is that, after the ceremony , I've asked to my mum, who was my faithful driver to go near the Fouquet's..

There was a lot of people there..just at the main intrance , waiting for an autograph...so we didn't stop...BUT just a little further, on the pavement, a Daimler car was parked ..no light ..all was black...

So I've asked to my mum to stop and I went to the car...and Orson was there, alone with his driver.. ;0)

I've knocked on the glass and I've asked politely if I could get an autograph...Orson Welles opened the door and I sat beside him on the back seat...
He signed the only little paper which I had with me..

and then I've asked if I could take a pic of him.
Orson Welles replied with a big smile and hisdeep voice: "Of course Darling!"...so I pushed on the cameara buttom....but.....my film was finished , I had no more pics in the camera...so as I was a little sad, he gave me a kiss on the cheek with a smile.

I left the Daimler and I was Happy :0)

"Citizen Kane" forever!!! Da!!! But i'm a real Fan of the "just beginning credits of film"
of "Touch of Evil"(1958)...when just in ONE SHOOT...the video camera departs from the bomb which is in back of the car..to go to the sky and follow the car when it goes to the border....It's such a great sequence!!!
