INTx: some days I'm INTJ, others I'm INTP. Now that's dedication; I'm undecided on my indecision.

I've noticed that many people whom I friend tend to friend me back, which is a right neighborly thing to do. I don't add someone with the expectation she will return the favor. I probably read something, somewhere that made me think or made me go, "Right On!" and wanted to include that on my f-list. I also roam LJ, looking for icon-makers whose skills make me want to be them when I grow up (disregarding the inconvenient, likely truth about our relative ages).
I'm cool if you choose to friend me back but don't feel obligated; I'm not staking my self-worth on it. Feel free to friend me or not as your preference, reading time, what have you, dictates. Also? Feel free to de-friend me. I'll be sorry to see you go but we're all forced to parcel out our time and energy. I don't take these things as personal judgments.

During Strikethrough 2007 it came to my attention that the "Interests" list was not, as I had supposed topics that I had an interest in, but was instead a list of behaviors, diseases, and products that I was
endorsing. I'm still not comfortable with the lack of a clear TOS from LiveJournal/SixApart in its policy regarding how it uses listed interests to delete journals at random so I've removed everything listed there. I'm a feminist, slash-friendly, GLBT-friendly, and animal-friendly.
I'm fairly arrogant about my intelligence, love to read, and get a thrill out of tackling entirely new-to-me subjects. This probably explains my frequent 90 degree career turns. As a kidling, I was a math/science geek with a HUGE leaning towards ancient history (my first crush was on Apollo. The god, not the cheesy 1970s character) until archaeology sucked me in via paleoanthropology, physical anthropology, and primatology. I guess that now makes me a prehistory geek with a strong math/science leaning.
My longest-lived fandom has been Stargate SG-1, although I enjoy Queer as Folk, Babylon 5, Dark Angel, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, Dresden Files, Doctor Who, Torchwood, and any number of other shows I'm forgetting to name.
