I have never been to anywhere further than Kirovsk, Pushkin and so on (Leningradskiy region). I have never been even to Moscow!
But I'd like to go to Spain, I think that there are the most emotional people with great culture, the tastiest dishes, the brightest life and the most beautiful language)
And of course, I'd like to go to the UK, England, especially, I think. May be next summer I'll be lucky to have some studies there (it depends on money, of course)))

I've been to Turkey last autumn together with my hasbond:) It was our honey-moon:) Well, it's the theme of the special topic:) The things that we liked:
1. The attitude of the stuff:) They danced, laughed, smiled all the time, maids left in our room flowers, that were made of paper. If there were some problems, thay solved them at once.
2. The place, where we lived, was really beautiful!
3. All the excursions were interesting, guides - professionals.
4. They recognize Russians at first sight and speak to you in Russian.
We didn't like:
The sea (all 4!!) was dirty. I get used to our Obskoe sea, that we call a swamp, but it is not at least salty! After Aegean Sea my skin was itching and covered with salt crystals, and I don't even mention hair!!!! If you don't take shower, yuo're doomed to an awful death.
2. Lack of time:( I'd like to spend more than a week there.

Веселинка_Малопопка, husbAnd, laughed (without "T"), thEy, thEm, beautiful (one "l"), and there is a misprint in "you" ("yuo").

So the only problems you had were due only to the nature? The sea, I mean. Well, and lack of time.
It's wonderful when service is excellent) I mean, if you go abroad and want to have a rest and good time, you should get it)
I don't know, but it seems to me to be a big problem here (service, I mean), when people who must supply you with everything you need, think that it's you who must build yourself to them.

I've been to Portugal, Spain, England (Devonshire), Germany (Bavaria), Holland, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Tunis, Egypt.
Italy, Slovakia, Poland and Austria on a bus tour (so they don't count).
For the time being I live in South Korea...

I liked Portugal for its red sand beaches, sea food, friendly atmosphere, palms. Devonshire is superb! Germany is where I'd prefer to live. Barcelona is the most wonderful city in the world - crazy, vibrant, festive. Prague is a fairy tale. I loved Cairo! Italy is Life (but made my skin look awful - rash!!!) South Korea is all right, nice to live in, unusual, civilized.

Dream of going to Japan, South America, Iceland... Well, anywhere :)))

Мышка-Машка, I have a lot of questions to you)
Why would you prefer to live in Germany? I mean, why do you like it SO much?)
Did you have an allergy in Italy? And what caused it?
How did it happen that you live in South Korea?
And could you tell me anything about Spain? It's the country of my dream and I want to visit it so much!)

I believe countries have characters and if the atmosphere of the country, its character suits you, that's the best place for you to live in :) Germany is well organized, has many sight-seeings, most delicious food (lots of meat and beer ;)), and people don't interefere in your life. Just what I need :)

I've seen mostly Barcelona and its outskirts. I loved the peoples. They are happy and their life is a holiday, if you can put it this way. They work little ;), go out for dinner, dance all through the night in the streets, enjoy communication and are very hospitable. The cuisine is most delicious, if you are keen on sea food. And Gaudi's architecture (that's what I went there for) is unique!

I happen to be married to a former student of Moscow State University and he was invited to work for Samsung for a year.
As far as I understood you are a student of the faculty of foreign languages, aren' you? Then, when you graduate, you can easily find work of a teacher in China, for example. But that's in case you like travelling and adventures ;)

In Italy I had a rash because of humidity and heat. The skin didn't get enough air... :(

If you believe that countries have characters then you may read the post about the city as a living being)

Yes, I study English and Spanish)
But why China needs the teachers of English?

Well, I like travelling but I have never travelled, that's why travelling attracts me)

"people" - not "peopleS", if you didn't mean "народы". Or what you meant?

Мышка-Машка   обратиться по имени Why does China need... Пятница, 14 Апреля 2006 г. 15:51 (ссылка)
I meant "nation"... (from a Webster - peoples : a body of persons that are united by a common culture, tradition, or sense of kinship, that typically have common language, institutions, and beliefs, and that often constitute a politically organized group)

I know it from my own experience. When I found out my husband and me are going to move to Korea, we started looking for some work for me, sent out my resume (curriculum vitae) to a few Asian sites and since then I've been receiving invitations from China :))) But then I had a baby and no more time for teaching anyone else ;)

In fact, English is popular in Korea as well, but they wouldn't invite Russian teachers of English here unless teachers are already in Korea ;)
