Evil Dead

Evil Dead.

The book is bound in human flesh and inked in human blood.

The first few pages warn that these enduring creatures may lie dormant, but are never truly dead.

Shells. Where did I see that box of shells?

Итак, Lost in translation.

- What are you doing here?
- I'm seeing friends.

- We made a kind of...
- Wait. What kind of weed is it?
- I don't know.

- I'm gonna be back on Sunday.

- I gotta be on a plane thursday night

- How long you've been married?

- We are Sausalito.

- Hey! Use the horn, fella!

- Hey, you want to talk to Zoe?

- Every girl goes through a photography phase. You know, like horses, you know, taking a dumb pictures of your feet.

- Zoe, come say Hello to daddy
- No!
- She's just ran into the other room.

- You are breaking up Fred. There is no reception in this studio.

- Can you put your hand close your face?

- You are a moviestar, yes?
- Yes I shold be doing movies.

- So, I'll fax you a map on how to get there. I hope you can come and meet us.

- How is Charlie and other guys?

- Her ballet recital on Sunday.

Enigmag (EnglishTogether)

– I have always been fascinated by the process of communication, by how thoughts, ideas and images in one language can be recreated in another tongue. That process does not merely involve the selection of appropriate lexical and semantic units, but requires a shift into another culture, another way of perceiving the world. Only through an understanding of the culture in which a language is embedded can the interpreter/translator successfully convey the full meaning of a foreign linguistic/cultural system. Growing up in America a quadrilingual household – my parents spoke their native Russian, as well as French, German and English – probably fated me to be an interpreter. My parents were from a generation of Russian intellectuals who thought that any child who did not speak four languages fluently by the age of four was probably mentally retarded. They didn't give me much choice as far as language learning was concerned! I very early fell in love with Russian and French literature, and was intrigued by translation and interpretation problems. Extensive contacts with Russians in the US and my own trips to Russia reinforced my interest in language and interpretation. Interpretation provides instant gratification: you immediately see the result of your work, the communication and understanding you provide people who otherwise would fail to understand each other. And you understand how much good a talented interpreter can do, how greatly he can help people understand each other, and how much damage a poor interpreter can inflict.

Dear Dogs and Cats?
The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than yo can run. I cannot by anything bigger than a King sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort. Dogs and Cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It's not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.

For the last time, there is not secret exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years

-- canine or feline attendance is not required.
The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough!

To pacify you, my dear pets, I have posted following message on your front door:

To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our Pets:
1.They live here.You don't.
2.If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture.(That's why they call it "fur"niture.)
3.I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
4.To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.

Remember: Dogs and Cats are better than kids because they:
1.Eat less
2.Don't ask for money all the time
3.Are easier to train
4.Normally come when called
5.Never ask to drive the car
6.Don't hang out with drug-using friends
7.Don't smoke or drink
8.Don't have to buy the latest fashion
9.Don't want to wear your clothes
10.Don't need a gazillion dollars for college, and...
11.If they get pregnant, you can sell their children.

Languages in the United Kingdom

Though the UK does not have a de jure official language, the predominant spoken language is English, a West Germanic language descended from Old English, featuring a large number of borrowings from Old Norse and Norman. The other indigenous languages are Scots (which is closely related to English) and the Insular Celtic languages (which are not). The latter fall into two groups: the P-Celtic languages (Welsh and the Cornish language); and the Q-Celtic languages (Irish and Scottish Gaelic and Manx). Celtic dialectal influences from Cumbric persisted in Northern England for many centuries, most famously in a unique set of numbers used for counting sheep (see Yan Tan Tethera).

The English language has spread to all corners of the world (largely due to the British Empire) and has thus become the business language of the world. Worldwide, it is taught as a second language more than any other.[54] The United Kingdom's Celtic languages are also spoken by small groups around the globe, mainly Gaelic in Nova Scotia, Canada, and Welsh in Patagonia, Argentina.

Recent immigrants, especially from the Commonwealth, speak many other languages. The United Kingdom has the largest number of Gujarati, Hindi, Bengali, Urdu, and Punjabi speakers outside of Asia.[citation needed]It has recently acquired many speakers of Eastern European languages, notably Polish.

London is one of the major classical and popular music capitals of the world and is home to one of the five major global music corporations, EMI as well as countless bands, musicians and industry professionals.

London is home to many orchestras and concert halls such as the Barbican Arts Centre (principal base of the London Symphony Orchestra), Cadogan Hall (Royal Philharmonic Orchestra), the Royal Albert Hall (BBC Promenade Concerts), the Royal Festival Hall (Philharmonia Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Sinfonietta) and Wigmore Hall.[101] London's two main opera houses are the Royal Opera House and the Coliseum Theatre.[101] The United Kingdom's Royal Ballet and the English National Ballet are based in London and perform at the Royal Opera House, the Coliseum, Sadler's Wells Theatre and the Royal Albert Hall.[101]

As a cultural centre for the United Kingdom, London has had a major role in many popular music movements. It has numerous famous venues for rock and pop concerts, including large arenas such as Earls Court and Wembley Arena, as well as more intimate venues, such as Brixton Academy and Hammersmith Apollo.[101] The area around the northern part of Charing Cross Road in Westminster is famous for its shops that sell modern musical instruments and audio equipment. London was home of one of the legs for both the Live Aid and Live 8 concerts.

London and its surrounding Home Counties have spawned iconic and popular artists. London is home to the first and original Hard Rock Cafe and the famous Abbey Road Studios where The Beatles created many of their hits. Musicians such as Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix and Freddie Mercury have lived in London.[102] Famous musicians and groups associated with London include The Who, Fleetwood Mac, Iron Maiden, Elton John, Elvis Costello, John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones. London was instrumental in the development of punk music, with figures such as the Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Jam, and Vivienne Westwood all based in the city.

As Britain's largest urban area, London has played a key role in the development of most British-born strains of "urban" and electronic music, such as drum and bass, UK garage, grime and dubstep, and is home to many UK hip hop artists.

Education in London

Home to a range of universities, colleges and schools, London has a student population of about 378,000[96] and is a centre of research and development. Most primary and secondary schools in London follow the same system as the rest of England.

With 125,000 students, the University of London is the largest contact teaching university in the United Kingdom and in Europe.[97] It comprises 20 colleges as well as several smaller institutes, each with a high degree of autonomy. Constituent colleges have their own admissions procedures, and are effectively universities in their own right, although most degrees are awarded by the University of London rather than the individual colleges. Its constituents include multi-disciplinary colleges such as UCL, King's and Royal Holloway and more specialised institutions such as the London School of Economics, SOAS, the Royal Academy of Music and the Institute of Education.

The London School of Economics, Imperial College London, King's and UCL have been ranked among some of the best universities in the whole world by The Times Higher Education Supplement: in 2006 Imperial was ranked 9th, the London School of Economics was ranked 17th, UCL 25th, and King's 46th in the world.[98]

London's other universities, such as Brunel University, City University, London Metropolitan University, Imperial College London, Middlesex University, University of East London, the University of Westminster and London South Bank University, are not part of the University of London. Some were polytechnics until these were granted university status in 1992, and others which were founded much earlier. London is also known globally for its business education, with the London Business School (ranked 1st in Europe - Business Week) and Cass Business School (Europe's largest finance school) both being top world-rated business schools.

London is home to many museums, galleries, and other institutions which are major tourist attractions as well as playing a research role. The Natural History Museum (biology and geology), Science Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum (fashion and design) are clustered in South Kensington's "museum quarter", while the British Museum houses historic artefacts from around the world. The British Library at St Pancras is the UK's national library, housing 150 million items.[99] The city also houses extensive art collections, primarily in the National Gallery, Tate Britain and Tate Modern. See the list of museums in London.

My dear friends, there were very hard days in my life, so i didn't totally care about our association, and i was very astoniched when it is come to light that many of you became active participators of this place. I hope you really enjoy it.

Well, i excellent passed a final examination at my academy and defended my qualification work in english language. The theme of my work was: Trade economic relations between Russia ans USA. It was quite interesting to write at this subject, and i got a praise for the quality of my qualification work. So, now i'm a girl with higher education. In few days i will get my diploma.

I would be pleased to tell you about my studiyng of english during the last month. Earlier i didn't believe to listen and to watch english films can help me to understand english in spite of this is a known fact. But nevertheless i found one american serial (Desperate Housewives) and i have been seen it for a month nearly. And i found as a result i improved my understanding of english + i've learned many new english words + i've got much pleasure. So, i advice you to watch english and american films.

I wish you every success in your education and i hope you will continue to assist me to develop our association.

If I ruled the world,
Every day would be the first day of spring,
Every heart would have a new song to sing,
And we'd sing of the joy every morning would bring.

If I ruled the world,
Every man would be as free as a bird,
Every voice would be a voice to be heard,
Take my word we would treasure each day that occurred.

My world would be a beautiful place,
Where we would weave such wonderful dreams.
My world would wear a smile on its face,
Like the man in the moon has when the moon beams.

If I ruled the world,
Every man would say the world was his friend,
There'd be happiness that no man coud end,
No my friend, not if I ruled the world.

Every head would be held up high,
There'd be sunshine in everyone's sky,
If the day ever dawned when I ruled the world
