Ashtanga yoga additionally referred to as As htangavinyasayogais that a style of yoga that can be classified in the Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. Ashtanga yoga was released by Krishnamacharya and PattabisJois in their book Yoga Sutras. Ashtanga means eight limbs in Sanskrit (ancient Indian language) In line with this Yoga Sutras ashtanga yogais a practice to know the legitimate significance of yoga. The eight limbs of ashtanga yoga include Yamas, Niyamas, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi.



The 8 limbs of ashtanga yoga
• Yamas --
Yamas are the integrity of Hinduism. Yamas are the principles that an individual needs to comply with to lead a calm living. There was an overall total of 5 Yama's that educates us the way we should interact with the exterior universe.

Ahimsa (non-violence)
Satya (truthfulness)
Asteya (non-stealing)
Brahmacharya (continence)
Aparigraha (non-covetousness)

• Niyamas --

There is an overall total of 5 Niyamas which will help the person to find spiritual calmness, self-discipline, and religious observance. The 5 Niyamas teaches just how to socialize yourself.

Saucha (cleanliness)
Samtosa (continent)
Tapas (self-discipline)
Svadhyaya (self-study)
Isvarapranidhana (feign to god)
• Asana --

Asana may be the positions which are practised in yoga. The 3rd element of ashtanga yoga helps to cultivate spiritually through asanas. The practice of asanas can help to concentrate and focus.

• Pranayama --
The fourth limb of ashtanga yoga pranayama teaches to control the breath. The thoracic comprises techniques to restrain and grasp the lymph approach. Pranayama helps to attain a higher level of comprehension.

• Pratyahara --
Pratyahara is withdrawing oneself from the outside universe. Pratyahara can be a procedure for self-extraction in your fundamentals of the outside universe and understanding our true self. The practice helps to seek out selfknowledge and connection with somebody's inner universe. In simple words its own self-extraction from the outside environment and approval of one's inner planet.

• Dharana --
Dharana is the complete control of the subconscious mind by binding the thoughts to a only object, thought or place.



• Dhyana --
Dhyana is meditation or contemplation in which the head is underneath the profound stream of immersion without any external or internal disturbance.

• Samadhi --
Samadhi may be your last element of ashtanga yoga. Samadhi is obtaining oneness with meditation or contemplation. When your head loses its identity in the practice of meditating is every time somebody finds out Samadhi in their notions.
