Does anyone have experience with chevre? My son can't eat cow dairy products, and so eats goat dairy. He loves carrot cake, and I was looking online for goat cream cheese to make the frosting, and instead I found "chevre" which you're supposed to be able to use in any recipe that calls for cream cheese. But what will it taste like?? Would it come out like cream cheese frosting, or something nasty? I was going to try using plain yogurt (goat, of course) if I couldn't find goat cream cheese. I just don't know and I don't want to spend a bunch of money on something that's going to taste nasty.
