  • Medical conditions: Certain medical conditions, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and adrenal disorders, can cause hormonal imbalances.
     
  • Lifestyle factors: Poor diet, lack of exercise, chronic stress, inadequate sleep, and exposure to environmental toxins can affect hormone production and balance.
     
  • Medications and treatments: Certain medications, including hormonal therapies, contraceptives, and some cancer treatments, can disrupt hormone levels.
     
  • Genetics: Some hormonal imbalances can be inherited or have a genetic component.
