Notes
In order to keep the pattern properly aligned, it will be necessary to "borrow" one stitch from the end of the previous round to work the double decrease at the start of Rnd 36 (shaded in blue on the chart). Prepare for the "loan" by knitting Rnd 35 to the last stitch, temporarily slip the last stitch (shaded in blue) to the right needle, remove the marker, return the slipped stitch to the left needle, and replace the marker. Work the blue-shaded double decrease at the start of the Rnd 36 using the "borrowed" stitch with the following two stitches.
Convert this vest into a cardigan by working the picked-up stitches from the armhole edgings as sleeves.
Wear the vest upside down, with the longer body portion at the top, for a deeper collar and shorter body.
Back
Using Emily Ocker's method (see Glossary), CO 8 sts. Divide sts evenly onto 4 dpn so that there are 2 sts on each needle. Place marker (m) and join for working in rnds, being careful not to twist sts.
Work Rnds 1-45 of Narvon Chart A, inc as shown and changing to 24" (60 cm) cir needle when there are too many sts to fit around the dpn224 sts.
Work Rnds 46-62 (64, 66, 68, 70, 72) of Narvon Chart B, inc as shown and changing to 32" (80 cm) cir needle when necessary368 (384, 400, 416, 432, 448) sts; 46 (48, 50, 52, 54, 56) sts each in 8 patt reps; piece measures about 7 3/4 (8, 8, 8 1/4, 8 1/2, 8 3/4)" (19.5 [20.5, 20.5, 21, 21.5, 22] cm) from CO.

Armhole Edgings
Carefully remove waste yarn from armholes and distribute 91 (97,103,109,113,119) exposed sts as evenly as possible on 3 or 4 dpn.
Next rnd: Knit, picking up 1 extra st in each "corner" of the armhole slit to prevent gaps-93 (99,105,111,115,121) sts.
[Purl 1 rnd, knit 1 rnd] 2 times, then purl 1 more rnd6 rnds and 3 garter ridges completed. Loosely BO all sts. Weave in loose ends.
This circular vest begins in the center with a leaf motif that radiates outward then transitions to reversible textured lace. Simple garter stitch around the armholes and outer edge keep the focus on the intricate lace medallion. The wrap can be worn secured in front with a shawl pin, or it can be left open so the outer rings of the circle drape beautifully.
