The wrong decision comes every time you choose something in the way you want it. You choose the job and you got invited to the interview. But on your way to the office you think that it was bad idea to go to this employer. So what’s the problem? Why do we choose something we think we want but for real we even don’t suppose ourselves to want?

The illusion of perception of one or another thing happening to us consists in that we are instinctively intended to the positive result. Our conscious rests on signals that we send to our brain. These signals are based on our first impression that we get from outside. In such a way a person may turn up to be different from the very first time you meet him. So that means we have to be more rational. That is the rule we are to follow.

Generally people trust their inner opinion, but very few of them care it could be wrong. “Trust, but check you must” says the popular proverb. And I think that it best refers to people’s state of mind. We got used to believe that everything that our mind provides is right. By this means, we finally stop our look on a pair of shoes in the shoe shop. We say “yeah, this pair I like the most” and this statement appears to be another wrong decision two weeks later. That is because we are intended to the positive result at the beginning.

Why positive becomes negative? The answer hides in the nature of choice. The choice itself isn’t that scary but a man that has a choice scares a lot. Let me explain to you why. When we come to a restaurant we are suggested to pick something from the menu. And the menu is your enemy now. Imagine that you are about to order something attractively exotic that will spoil your evening in twenty minutes. But why would it happen? It would happen because of the choice that is inside of that menu. We imagine the positive feelings we’ll get after the meal while looking at something extraordinary in the menu, but the feelings may get spoiled of food being not delicious and they immediately become negative. And this applies to everything around you. The job is not that cool as it seemed to be; the washing machine doesn’t clean as good as it was in the TV ad; your boyfriend/girlfriend is not that cute and sweet as he/she was a few months ago. That wouldn’t happen if you just had no that choice at all. Everything is predetermined. The destiny of human race is known in advance. Your parents won’t be nervous of your future because there is an already prepared future for you. You go to school then it’s going to be a university or college, then some work, and then a really deserved retirement. Is that the script you want to live by? I guess you don’t think so. The best thing of choice is that you have a chance to decide how to start and end your own script.

Be responsible. Don’t let yourself choose the wrong decision.
