Take an A6 blank and cover with yellow paper. Trim a slightly smaller panel of black/white patterned paper, round corners and layer onto yellow. Cut out a triangle from green dot patterned paper and punch out several circles, slightly larger than the dots, from coloured papers. Add circles to the party hat shape and trim excess. Stick this to the card using double-sided tape.
Create a small pom pom by cutting out two small circles from chipboard and die-cutting a small circle in the centre of each. Wrap black/ white twine around the outer circle and through the centre. Repeat until there is only a small space remaining in the central circle.

Cut through the twine around the outer edge, prise the two rings apart and tie a separate piece of twine between them to keep all the threads together. Ease the rings off and fluff the pom pom into a ball shape. Flatten the bottom slightly and stick to the top of the party hat using double-sided tape. Using rub-on text, add the word ‘celebrate’ to pink paper. Trim ends and stick to the top right of the card to complete.

Take a card blank, 13cm square and cover one side with black/white patterned paper. Die-cut several scalloped edged circles, different sizes and from various papers. Matt and layer pairs of circles and wind coloured twine around the recessed outer areas. Secure the twine ends on the reverse using sticky tape.

Position layered flowers onto the base card and secure the base shapes using double-sided tape. Place a layered section in the centre of a larger, secured shape and place a button in the centre. Using a paper piercer tool mark two holes through the layered flowers and through the base card. Secure in position by tying with coloured twine. Repeat for each flower.
