Up to this age it is a maturity or ripeness. The old age is so nasty (I believe) because every day you find some new losses in the capacities and potentialities of the body and mind. Although, if we look intently, all is relative. I, for example, in my thirtees and fourtees could not lift 80 kg and on the third km of jog-trot fizzled out completly. The swimming was my strong feature always. I crossed Eupatorian Bay in raw weather. The distance is about 5 km. But now, alas! I am too squeamish to swim in the common pool. Finnish Gulf is full with excrements. The lakes were hurdled by new Russians bitches. I cant visit warm seas frequently, so I came on the hard land.
