Петер Пурбус  (нидерл. Pieter Pourbus, 1523, Гауда — 1584, Брюгге) — нидерландский художник периода Возрождения. Отец Франса Пурбуса Старшего и дед Франса Пурбуса Младшего — также художников.

Родился в городе Гауде. Учился у своего тестя — Ланцелота Блонделя. Позже жил и работал в Брюгге, где был принят в гильдию св. Луки в 1543 г. Скончался там же. Писал исторические религиозные картины и портреты.

Как портретист Пурбус принадлежал к числу искуснейших мастеров своего времени. Образцы его творчества, жизненные и теплые по колориту, находятся в Дрезденской галерее (портрет женщины с собачкой на руках), в Венском музее (портрет мужчины в черной одежде). Эрмитаж имел в своих коллекциях два парных портрета — мужчины средних лет и дамы, вероятно его жены Сюзанны (дочери Корнелиса Флориса де Вринде).
