Materials on paranormal phenomena are periodically destroyed due to fear of anarchy

In recent years, a lot of materials on UFOs and other paranormal phenomena have been published. However, some researchers note that the published information does not contain explanatory hypotheses and practical explanations. In one conversation between Edgar Hoover, the famous FBI director, and his deputy Clyde Tolson, Hoover mentioned that he had received instructions several times to destroy significant materials on UFOs. He was forced to irreversibly destroy all copies of such materials. Moreover, in his opinion, materials on paranormal phenomena had been accumulated earlier and were also periodically completely destroyed in the 19th century. Often this happened with the arrival of a new power or regime, which first tried to use this information in its interests, and then feared the consequences, since such forces were uncontrollable. Victor Marchetti, the deputy director of the CIA, believed that the leakage of information about paranormal phenomena could lead to the fact that the entire known civilization would plunge into anarchy. It is impossible to completely exclude leaks in principle. For example, the first information about the American atomic project was received by the USSR in 1944. This project is comparable in secrecy to paranormal phenomena. Therefore, such information must be destroyed without the possibility of recovery. Hence, there is a strict setting for science not to engage in such research. Detlev Bronk, the head of the American Academy of Sciences, mentioned this in private conversations. The clairvoyant Edgar Cayce claimed that significant information about UFOs was in the possession of the state, but was destroyed. As a rule, if a special service receives such a task, its activities can be checked by someone from the outside, that is, another special service. In this case, the CIA could act as a controller for the execution of the FBI's liquidation of its materials.
Some researchers believe that the Salem witch trials had real grounds, as one of the convicted, Sarah Good, may have possessed paranormal abilities, as her house was reportedly haunted by a poltergeist that seemed to spread to other homes. The poltergeist activity did not cease after Sarah Good and the other accused women were executed, but continued for several months until six more people were killed in extrajudicial circumstances. It is possible that they may have been carriers of specific information. Other researchers suggest that the erasure of information could be carried out by representatives of the paranormal world itself. In ufological circles, there are known cases of "men in black" who intimidate witnesses of UFO sightings. Ufologists are also familiar with the "Sheldon list", a list of ufologists who died under strange circumstances.
Similar purges of information have occurred in the past. Some historians believe that the steam engine could have been created at the beginning of our era. But then the elites, deciding that such a technological revolution threatened them, made every effort to destroy any information.
