Кто он, этот Saint Jimmy? такая пугающая и одновременно манящая фигура... У меня такое бывает часто, когда чего-то боишься, но к этому так тянет - как с чувством высоты...

Забавно, но героя этой песни я воспринимаю практически как реального человека. Может, отчасти - как самого Билли Джо?..

Представляя эту песню на концертах, Билли всегда говорит - "Это песня о моем друге, Saint Jimmy", а один раз вдруг добавил после паузы: "Или обо мне самом, не знаю..."

Темная сторона в человеке, стремление к саморазрушению, красная кнопка, на которую хочется нажать, хотя ты и знаешь точно, что нельзя... проходили, знаем.

Но при этом... на вопрос о Saint Jimmy в Storytellers Билли начал что-то там серьезно рассуждать, а потом вдруг замолчал, улыбнулся и сказал:

- I love Saint Jimmy. He's pretty cool, you know... he's pretty sexy...

И девушка, задававшая вопрос, с таким чувством кивнула в ответ - "yeeeeaaah" :)

А меня с первого прочтения текста совершенно перепахала фраза "with an angel face and a taste for suicidal" - не знаю, она мне кажется просто гениальной :))
