Stunning hand painted Limoges hand painted Ocean Theme Plate with exquisite detail featuring a naturalistic ocean scene with seashells and underwater sea plants. A life-like feel with white enamel highlights on the shells and water. The gold etch work along the outer edge of the plate is exquisite- with seashells incorporated into the ornamental gold design. This amazing work of art is signed by the artist ''Dillingster" (or 'Billingster'). This dramatic hand painted plate is painted with Lavender and White Bearded Irises against a background of Sienna Brown. The light & dark background colors, and embellished gold scrolled & scalloped border, creates a wonderful composition.
