Stunning hand painted Limoges hand painted Ocean Theme Plate with exquisite detail featuring a naturalistic ocean scene with seashells and underwater sea plants. A life-like feel with white enamel highlights on the shells and water. The gold etch work along the outer edge of the plate is exquisite- with seashells incorporated into the ornamental gold design. This amazing work of art is signed by the artist ''Dillingster" (or 'Billingster'). Clearly this artist was a master at his/her trade with a style comparable to George Leykauf- also well-known for his intricate gold scrolling and airy watercolor look on porcelain. We have several Ocean Theme pieces that are absolutely unbelievable in quality so please check out our inventory if interested.

This dramatic hand painted plate is painted with Lavender and White Bearded Irises against a background of Sienna Brown. The light & dark background colors, and embellished gold scrolled & scalloped border, creates a wonderful composition. The design and color combinations are superb and the intensity of detail (i.e. enameled accented petals) throughout certainly makes this a real showstopper!Marked: Jean Pouyat 1890

Yet another wonderful example of fine art work from the renown French Artist J Barin (please see his other pieces that we currently have up for sale by using the key word search 'Barin'.). Notorious for his landscape scenes, this beautifully painted porcelain plate features a flying pheasant. The artistry is superb and the overall background work and intricate gold detailed border certainly makes this a one-of-a-kind late 19th Century piece to be showcased in the finest Wildlife or Bird collection!Marked: Factory-decorated mark: George (Coronet) Borgfeldt 1881-1920

Dainty white and Amethyst / Blue Violets in a beautiful nosegay accented with gently cascading foliage. What whispers spring more than this masterfully handpainted antique Floral Art Plate? Completely hand painted by a masterful Victorian porcelain artist or Edwardian Era china painter, this lovely plate is so romantic. The beautiful soft and dreamlike clusters of violets fade in and out of the misty and cloud-like background colors. The violets are painted in a very naturalistic style but yet the artist leaves the viewer with just an impression of their form in the most romantic sense. The lovely plate also has a unusual scalloped and carved edge lavished on the outside rim with Roman Coin Gold.1900

Absolutely stunning hand-painted plate featuring 'Floating Daisies'. This Antique masterpiece has an impressionistic style. The unique composition, the amazing color choices, and the aesthetic blending of Daisies with their environment make this an extraordinary visual. It is bordered with an exquisite gold enameled rim and signed by the masterful Victorian Painter 'M Burnett'. Mary Burnett was a contributor to Keramic Studio and her designs are much sought after by serious collectors. 1870

A absolutely lovely painting of Old Garden Roses. These lovely yellow roses resemble the 'Bourbon Rose' that was first Introduced in France in 1823. Hand Painted by the talented late 19th Century painter 'Lloyd', a palette of yellow, green, blue, mauves and lavender bathed in rich sunlight creates a striking still life of roses. The floral composition is a beautiful yet simple design that undoubtedly captures the eye.1891

A classic Limoges plate featuring Romantic Tri-colored Tea Roses (white, pink and yellow) nestled in lush greenery painted on a very elegantly carved raised rimmed border white ware molds that is further embellished in Gold. Signed by the Renown Limoges studio artist, Duval who is best known for his skillful paintings of beautiful and bold roses. The deep color hues and balance composition, as well as 3-dimensional quality of the piece, makes this a wonderful example of his work. Sure to please the most avid Rose enthusiast!

An absolute vision of delight! This absolutely stunning hand-painted Late Victorian Period plate features White and Red English Tea Roses in full bloom against a vivid rainbow of background colors. The great clusters of blossoms resemble whirls of whipped cream, creating an unforgettable site, especially against their shaded green foliage. The delicate shadows of the silky-edged petals & leaves that lie in the shadows of blue, violet, and greens not only add an element of depth but also creates an ethereal impression. The artist carefully chose a delicate scalloped edge-carved mold to paint this masterpiece onto, further adding to the romantic nature of this outstanding artwork. Sure to harmonize beautifully with any serious floral porcelain artware collection!1900
