If like most of us, you are on budget then personally I take communication into account as a deciding factor I normally never opt for the cheapest option but opt for the most reasonable one that has excelled in their communication with me. 

 

Payment options

In addition to receiving a reasonable price from a residential housing contractor I also ask what payment options are available. What I mean by that is regardless of the work being undertaken it will more than likely prove to be an expensive one. 

 

Professional companies will be aware of this and will have payment plan options available it is incredibly unlikely that any company will demand the full payment up front as this is simply not possible for most of us. Be wary of any company looking for full payment up front.
