Born in Tehran-Iran.Living in US. Since 1978
Sheri began painting in her early years of college. She followed her interest and received a Bachelor degree in Fine Art with emphasis in printmaking. She continued painting on the side and participating on several shows while getting an MBA and raising a family.
In the last ten years, Sheri has been living in Morgan Hill, California, and while raising a family, has been operating her art studio, Sheri?s Art Studio. She teaches drawing and painting to children from ages 5 to 18 with emphasis in watercolor, pastel, and pencil. Many of her students have participated in several art shows and have placed in the top three. While, in her early years, Sheri focused on black and white works in lithography, etching, and silkscreen, her recent work displays vivid and brilliant colors in acrylic on canvas. Her love for flowers has translated into large-scale images of flowers in bold colors. She captures the essence of her subject with more emphasis on its emotional content and less of its physical details. As a result, her paintings often display only one type of subject. As the subject is the focus of her work, the backgrounds are often secondary and less recognizable providing a high contrast.(c)
