More than the others, the impoverished noblewoman Avdotya Korsakova, whose son served together with the Koshkarovo offspring, suffered from him.

Once at a dinner party, Koshkarov turned to Korsakova with a malicious question: did she hear about the outbreak of war? As a sign of evidence, he ordered the housekeeper to quote a newspaper article about the “fierce assault of the Shirshavin fortress”. At the end of the note it was reported that "the enemy invaded the fortress and blood streams poured, and a shot followed from the rear bastion." The next day, everyone who read the ill-starred number made fun of Alexandrov. The text turned out to be not just a stylization of a little jovial, but also an acrostic, from the initial letters of which there was an unpleasant statement about the editor of the Russian Word.

Newspapers vainly refuted this terrible rumor - Muscovites for a long time passed it from mouth to mouth, bringing each other to fainting and nervous seizures.

To investigate such rallies even attracted the police, the uninformed writers took receipts from now on not to embarrass the people and not violate public peace. But the bells, having entered into the excitement of a vicious fairy tale, could not stop. Dangerous custom began to fade only in the second half of the last century - when the citizens began to read more and less believe in fabulous talk.
