Sighing about the times and mores on the theme of Greek mythology

is a great activity (there are plenty of reasons for sighing).

 Arguments about power, about a place at the table,

about apples (that's right, in the plural),

the art of sabotage and tangled family ties

are all that the creators of a multi-season series can only dream of.

A powerful layer of proceedings is the adventures

of the Olympic gods and their beloved. 

Here and Hephaestus, watching over his wife

with a lover and a network, and Apollo,

playing in two camps, Persephone, sharing a lover with Aphrodite,

and even Hera got confused in the adventures of Zeus,

where to catch up (or at least figure out) the rest.

Or not?

Numerous nymphs, deities of nature, elements and phenomena,

were worthy participants (or rather, participants)

in all these plots.

 Moral, light, funny, docile, obstinate,

they pampered and excited the Olympian gods

and the rest of the population of Greece.

And, it should be noted, sometimes with their antics

they even gave odds to the Olympians.

Let's remember, for example, the nymph Phia.

 Phia was the daughter of the river god Kefis

and the sister of Narcissus,

who was hopelessly in love with himself

(it must have been a difficult childhood).

While the brother was sociopathically examining himself

in the mirror-like water surface,

ignoring the vibes of the nymph Echo,

Phia chose the exact opposite occupation

and became the first companion and priestess of Dionysus

(what do you remember about wine, bacchantes and orgies?).

However, the cute nymph did not stop there either

(one career is good, two is better). 

Having met first Apollo and then Poseidon on the way,

Phia expanded her list of Olympic acquaintances.

 From the god of beauty she gave birth to a son Delphi

(by whose name, by the way, the famous city is named),

and the god of the seas brought foamy raptures

and fury to the wife of Amphritita.

Perhaps, by modern standards, such a biography

should be called not just stormy

(a bacchante, a mother and just a femme fatale!),

But also very feminist. 

After all, the river nymph did everything

that is allowed in the myths only to the Olympic gods themselves.
