Noda Conference 2021 - Tips For Finding

Online Orientation Software is an online solution for educators to make engaging experiences available to students, faculty, and their families. This web-based option is more convenient than traditional lectures. It can be accessed from any location, at any time, on any device. Users can quickly access hundreds of videos to find the information they are looking for. Teachers can also use the company's services to create engaging content for students. Online orientation Software can be customized and used cloud-based to provide flexibility.

Integrates with school databases. A school's student information system integration is an important part of its operation. This allows for the flow of updated information from a master database into a system or record, and to other data repositories such as the school’s student record system. Ms. Banks could have Jane's information updated in three separate databases without an integrated student info system. This would take up time and be very inefficient. There are many solutions that allow integration to be seamless.

Integrating a student information and learning management system are crucial. Every school has its own unique process for linking the systems. Many schools use Student Information Systems to store information. This includes information about staff, students, families, and health information. Schoolbox can help with this problem by offering its own project manager team, which ensures seamless integration of staff and student data. Integrating SIS systems and LMSs can present some difficulties.

Independent schools can use many applications to manage student information. Schools Interoperability Framework is a tool that has allowed school districts to share data for over ten years. This solution, however, isn't cost-effective for large scale because each application needs to have its own zone integration server. Additionally, this solution is not viable at scale. For a school district to truly be efficient, it must possess a zone integration Server and an SIF Agent for each applicant.

Clemson Virtual Information Session - Tips For Choosing The Best Company

Another example of using a database is a multimedia game that uses student writing. It could be used as a review tool, to strengthen concepts, or for the end of a school week. Students can add to the database fields that include the name of the author, date of writing and the type of writing. You can separate these fields into different tables.

Most districts have legacy systems. But they can also be expensive. It is possible for teachers to not generate complete reports because the old interfaces make it difficult to access data. Teachers often have limited time, so they are forced to use it for classroom activities. They don't have time to analyse student data. An important part of understanding behavior and academic performance is the student attendance record. School administration needs more than just a database.

The cost. Online Orientation Software has an online platform you can use for orientation for employees and students. With this software, you can easily create a strong virtual onboarding experience to engage and educate your audience about your company. You can access it from any location and on any device. This will allow you to communicate a powerful message. How much will the software run you? Learn more.

Online Orientation Software’s online orientation software costs vary depending on what features are chosen. The software typically costs around $2,000 per student. This price is reasonable considering how easy the software works. Online Orientation Software is well worth the cost. You can actually install the software and start using it in minutes.

Do Instagram Giveaways Work?

Суббота, 08 Мая 2021 г. 01:46 + в цитатник

Why Instagram giveaways?

Instagram followers and engagement are getting harder to come by, but Instagram giveaways are among the best ways to grow a loyal and engaged following.

Why Instagram giveaways?

Let's be honest: Instagram giveaways are ads.

If you're a Creator, they're ads for your content.
If you're a Business, they're ads for your products or services.
Ads should get people interested in what you do: capture attention and generate engagement, especially directed engagement. Nothing does this better than a well-run Instagram giveaway.

Why read this Instagram giveaway guide?
Instagram accounts that do giveaways grow 70% faster than those that don't.
Instagram giveaway posts get 4X more engagement than non-giveaway posts.
In a survey of over 50,000 Instagram posts, of those that received more than 1,000 comments, over 90% were giveaways.
Giveaway posts on Instagram get 60X more comments than regular posts.
Learn how POPSMASH can help you track giveaways, pick winners, see your stats and grow faster.

What are Instagram giveaways?

Instagram giveaways are promotions (usually sweepstakes) that last for a short time. At the end of the giveaway period, a winner(s) is selected based on the giveaway's entry criteria.

Instagram giveaway entry criteria can include things such as following the host's profile, liking the post, commenting, tagging friends, and more. We'll talk more about how to choose entry criteria later.

Instagram giveaway prizes can include anything from gift cards to free company products and services. If a brand is hosting the giveaway, they will typically give away their products. We will cover how to pick a giveaway prize in the section about running a giveaway.

What's the difference between a contest, lottery, sweepstakes & giveaway?
It's common to use these terms interchangeably, and it's usually no big deal, except when you're running a giveaway! Why? Because there are legal implications to each that we should be careful about. "Giveaway" is the most appropriate term in this case. Here's a quick summary of what each one means:

Contest: Based on some type of skill or merit where the winner is decided based on competition.
Lottery: Requires a purchase or payment to be eligible for entry to win a prize. Think state lotteries, Powerball, etc.
Sweepstakes: Winners are chosen randomly (by luck/chance) and can enter for free. You cannot charge a fee for entry; otherwise, this becomes a type of lottery, which can have legal implications.
Giveaway: Giveaways are a type of sweepstakes (just a more modern twist). Thus, entry must also be free (like sweepstakes), with a random winner.

Why do an Instagram giveaway?

Instagram giveaways are among the best ways to grow your followers, increase engagement, and build loyalty with your customers. Creators, big brands, small businesses, and more all do Instagram giveaways due to the excellent ROI.

4 reasons why Instagram giveaways should be part of your marketing strategy:

Those who do giveaways grow 70% faster than those that don't.
Giveaways get 60X more comments than regular posts.
Of posts that get more than 1,000 comments, nearly 90% are giveaways.
Giveaway posts get 4X more engagement than non-giveaway posts.

Get new followers with Instagram giveaways
Giveaways are among the best ways to grow followers. But the type of giveaway you do (especially the entry criteria) has a significant impact on how well it will perform.

For example, to drive growth, you'll want to include entry criteria that require entrants to tag multiple friends. Why? Because their friends are likely to be similar to them, which means a good fit for your brand.

You want to attract followers that'll stick with you long term (not unfollow immediately after the giveaway) and are interested in your content—not just any followers. Giveaways focused on your niche are best at achieving this, which we'll talk more about later.

Increase engagement with Instagram giveaways
Giveaways are among the best ways to increase engagement on Instagram. The type of giveaway you run will also factor into your success here. For example, you'll want to include liking, sharing, and commenting among your giveaway entry criteria to increase your engagement rate.

Reward loyal followers/customers & build stronger relationships with giveaways on Instagram
If you have a loyal customer base, you'll want to reward them from time to time with giveaways they can enter to win. For giveaways like these, sometimes it's more effective to give away lower-priced prizes to more people (multiple winners), especially for local businesses with local customers and simpler logistics for distributing prizes.

Celebrate milestones with your customers & followers using giveaways
Celebrating milestones like 1,000,000 followers (see example below), new releases, or other personal or company milestones, it's a great time to celebrate with your customers and followers. It also gives your giveaway purpose, which creates more momentum and excitement around your giveaway.

Instagram giveaway mistakes

We've covered a lot of information so far. Most Instagram giveaways do pretty well as long as they avoid making significant mistakes. So, let's review the top 8 most common issues that could hurt your giveaway results.

The top 8 reasons your Instagram giveaway will fail:

Below is a summary of the eight most common errors to avoid when running your Instagram giveaway. Then we'll go into more detail on each of these and how to avoid them.

Using the wrong prize
Behaving unethically or unfairly (even by mistake)
Having complex rules/entry criteria
Participating in "loop giveaways"
Inadequately promoting your giveaway
Making your giveaway too short or too long
Using generic hashtags that attract spammers
Failing to keep new followers engaged and let them slip away

Most of the times the structural engineer will not be included in designing the underpin system to lift your house.

The assessment must include another piece survey when leveling operations is complete. This new piece study is the benchmark that will be referenced throughout the life of the structure to look for structure motion. We have stumbled upon some excellent and really bad structure "repair work" companies. The bad structure "repair" business are tough to identify in discussion due to the fact that they are quite good about concealing their objective (deal the same foundation "repair" for a substantially lower charge then everyone else and never get heard from again).

However, these business are established business that have been responsive with our clients on what should be expected of a structure "repair". We have yet to hear either among these business offering the concept of foundation stabilization or a "movement free" foundation repair (please let us understand if you do).

A couple of characteristics of what we believe an excellent structure "repair work" company should supply: 1) Explains the system that they intend on utilizing and what the expectations must be as far as future foundation movements as issue. 2) Does not discuss the expression" we will support your structure with our underpin system"! 3) Uses a warranty.

5) Firmly insists on having the house owner present throughout lifting of the home. 6) Walks the house owner around the "repair" website and explains what was done. 7) Provides a Level A or B structure evaluation to the property owner from a structural engineer. 8) Is licensed and bonded in San Antonio or within the city your home lies.

The easy response isperspective! As we mentioned before, leveling a foundation or structure "repair work" is extremely hardly ever required for structural functions. Leveling a foundation is mostly a serviceability issue for the flooring, doors, windows and interior surfaces. Remember, soils move foundations and they will move structure "repair work" systems also.

Some levelers want to level your home in addition to the next-door neighbors fence and other simply wish to level a corner to make a window work. The viewpoint of how level a foundation should be is relative to the structure "repair" business comprehending of standard practices (most price quote the American Society of American Engineers suggestions which is not a code so it is not required to be complied with) and the homeowner expectations.

For example, if you have a few doors that stick and desire them to be complimentary again then express that to the foundation "repair work" business so that they can provide you a quote to fulfill your needs. Remember, consult a structural engineer to determine if leveling a foundation is structurally needed.

Physical damage to your home, such as fractures, sticky doors and leaning cabinets, may indicate that you need to look into a home foundation repair strategy. Structure repair can sound like a complicated, challenging task, but if the appropriate actions are taken, you can prevent possible future damage and protect your house's structure.

The specialists at Crosstown Engineering focus on damage forensics, and can provide an objective and expert assessment. In the majority of cases, our professionals can set up the examination within the week that you are calling. For piece foundations of a reasonably sized house, the expense per structure inspection and engineering report are $400.

If you have actually already had your house examined by foundation repair companies, show the engineer their recommendations so the engineer can help you select the structure company that comprehends your foundation repair work requirements. Lots of times, house owners will hand a contractor the engineering report and inquire to fix it. This presents an issue if the specialist isn't experienced or caring enough to carry out the strategy with care and expertise.

Upon your home's examination, an engineer will observe the pattern and degree of the damage to the house, collect floor elevation data, analyze the terrain and drainage patterns, identify the cause of the damage, and produce a foundation repair work plan if one is essential. Based upon the inspection, the engineer will create an engineering report that will consist of the damage forensic analysis, the drainage and greenery observations, and the flooring elevation information.

What Is Hvac Certification And What Does It Mean For The ... St. Joseph MO

It can be via operable windows, louvers, or trickle vents when spaces are small and the architecture permits. Low Cost Guide for ventilation System St. Joseph Mo. ASHRAE defined Natural ventilation as the flow of air through open windows, doors, grilles, and other planned building envelope penetrations, and as being driven by natural and/or artificially produced pressure differentials. In more complex schemes, warm air is allowed to rise and flow out high building openings to the outside (stack effect), causing cool outside air to be drawn into low building openings.

In warm or humid climates, maintaining thermal comfort solely via natural ventilation might not be possible. Air conditioning systems are used, either as backups or supplements. Air-side economizers also use outside air to condition spaces, but do so using fans, ducts, dampers, and control systems to introduce and distribute cool outdoor air when appropriate.

For example, six air changes per hour means an amount of new air, equal to the volume of the space, is added every ten minutes. For human comfort, a minimum of four air changes per hour is typical, though warehouses might have only two. Too high of an air change rate may be uncomfortable, akin to a wind tunnel which have thousands of changes per hour.

Room pressure can be either positive or negative with respect to outside the room. Positive pressure occurs when there is more air being supplied than exhausted, and is common to reduce the infiltration of outside contaminants. Natural ventilation is a key factor in reducing the spread of airborne illnesses such as tuberculosis, the common cold, influenza and meningitis.

Old-fashioned clinical areas with high ceilings and large windows provide greatest protection. Natural ventilation costs little and is maintenance free, and is particularly suited to limited-resource settings and tropical climates, where the burden of TB and institutional TB transmission is highest. In settings where respiratory isolation is difficult and climate permits, windows and doors should be opened to reduce the risk of airborne contagion.

An air conditioning system, or a standalone air conditioner, provides cooling and/or humidity control for all or part of a building. Air conditioned buildings often have sealed windows, because open windows would work against the system intended to maintain constant indoor air conditions. Outside, fresh air is generally drawn into the system by a vent into a mix air chamber for mixing with the space return air.

The percentage of return air made up of fresh air can usually be manipulated by adjusting the opening of this vent. Typical fresh air intake is about 10% of the total supply air.[] Air conditioning and refrigeration are provided through the removal of heat. Heat can be removed through radiation, convection, or conduction.

A refrigerant is employed either in a heat pump system in which a compressor is used to drive thermodynamic refrigeration cycle, or in a free cooling system which uses pumps to circulate a cool refrigerant (typically water or a glycol mix). It is imperative that the air conditioning horsepower is sufficient for the area being cooled.

Adequate horsepower is required for any air conditioner installed. The refrigeration cycle uses four essential elements to cool, which are compressor, condenser, metering device and evaporator. At the inlet of a compressor, the refrigerant inside the system is in a low pressure, low temperature, gaseous state. The compressor pumps the refrigerant gas up to a high pressure and temperature.

What Is Ventilation: How Does It Impact Your Hvac Comfort? St. Joseph MO

An (also called metering device) regulates the refrigerant liquid to flow at the proper rate. The liquid refrigerant is returned to another heat exchanger where it is allowed to evaporate, hence the heat exchanger is often called an evaporating coil or evaporator. As the liquid refrigerant evaporates it absorbs heat from the inside air, returns to the compressor, and repeats the cycle.

In variable climates, the system may include a reversing valve that switches from heating in winter to cooling in summer. By reversing the flow of refrigerant, the heat pump refrigeration cycle is changed from cooling to heating or vice versa. This allows a facility to be heated and cooled by a single piece of equipment by the same means, and with the same hardware.

Common storage mediums are deep aquifers or a natural underground rock mass accessed via a cluster of small-diameter, heat-exchanger-equipped boreholes. Some systems with small storages are hybrids, using free cooling early in the cooling season, and later employing a heat pump to chill the circulation coming from the storage. The heat pump is added-in because the storage acts as a heat sink when the system is in cooling (as opposed to charging) mode, causing the temperature to gradually increase during the cooling season (Distinctive Guide on heating And Cooling St. Joseph Mo).

When economizing, the control system will open (fully or partially) the outside air damper and close (fully or partially) the return air damper. This will cause fresh, outside air to be supplied to the system. When the outside air is cooler than the demanded cool air, this will allow the demand to be met without using the mechanical supply of cooling (typically chilled water or a direct expansion "DX" unit), thus saving energy.

return air, or it can compare the enthalpy of the air, as is frequently done in climates where humidity is more of an issue. In both cases, the outside air must be less energetic than the return air for the system to enter the economizer mode. Central, "all-air" air-conditioning systems (or package systems) with a combined outdoor condenser/evaporator unit are often installed in North American residences, offices, and public buildings, but are difficult to retrofit (install in a building that was not designed to receive it) because of the bulky air ducts required.

An alternative to packaged systems is the use of separate indoor and outdoor coils in split systems. Split systems are preferred and widely used worldwide except in North America. In North America, split systems are most often seen in residential applications, but they are gaining popularity in small commercial buildings.

The benefits of ductless air conditioning systems include easy installation, no ductwork, greater zonal control, flexibility of control and quiet operation. In space conditioning, the duct losses can account for 30% of energy consumption. The use of minisplit can result in energy savings in space conditioning as there are no losses associated with ducting.

Indoor units with directional vents mount onto walls, suspended from ceilings, or fit into the ceiling. Other indoor units mount inside the ceiling cavity, so that short lengths of duct handle air from the indoor unit to vents or diffusers around the rooms. Split systems are more efficient and the footprint is typically smaller than the package systems.

Top 10 Best How To Hire A General Contractor In The World

Most medium and large construction jobs are handled by a general contractor or GC. The general contractor may be called a builder, building contractor, remodeling contractor, etc. What makes him a “general” contractor is that he enters into a contract with the owner to complete a project and takes full responsibility to get the job done for the bid price.

The subcontractors are responsible to the general contractor, not to you, the owner. Choose your contractor carefully! No other decision will have a greater impact on the success or failure of your project. Great plans, contracts, and construction documents cannot get good work from someone lacking in skill or integrity.

If you have to pay a little extra to hire the right person, you won’t regret it. The savings from hiring the low bidder often evaporate as the job progresses - How to Find Renovation Contractors Pella Iowa. Assume that there will be problems along the way and select a person whom you feel will work cooperatively with you to find the best solutions.

For example, bad weather slows down the framing crew, so the plumbers and electricians need to be rescheduled, but his favorite electrician will not be available when needed, delaying the insulation crew. Later, the special-order windows are shipped with the wrong jamb profile, requiring custom shop work or another long delay.

In smaller companies, the GC may be on the job site regularly, even swinging a hammer from time to time. In any event, the GC is a busy guy or gal and arguably deserves the 20% overhead and profit they typically (hope to) earn for holding it altogether. Their profit comes from some combination of marking up labor costs, subcontractor bids, and material costs - How to Find Shower Remodel Contractors Near Me Pella Iowa.

A lot of this energy goes into managing the subcontractors. In general, smaller companies rely more on staff carpenters and larger companies rely more on subcontractors to get the work done. Nearly all companies use subcontractors for the mechanical trades such as plumbing and electrical, and most use subs for excavation and foundation work, roofing, drywall, and painting.

A good contractor has good relationships with competent and reliable subs. That means the subs will show up when needed and do good work with minimal supervision. They know what level of work the contractor expects, they know they’ll get paid promptly, and they know that the job will be ready for them when they show up.

While some subs, such as insulation installers, are not known for the precision of their work, they know that if they want work from a particular contractor, they need to meet his standards. Maybe they can charge a little more for the higher level of quality he demands, making it worth their while to take the time to do it right.

Some companies use their own crews for framing and finish carpentry, especially for finicky work such as built-in cabinets or ornate trim and other decorative details. It’s also best to use the in-house crew for special energy details, unusual wall systems, or other details that are not the domain of a specific trade.

How To Hire A General Contractor - How To Get Exact Instructions

That’s a good place to start, but whether you are starting from scratch or with a list of names, the process is pretty much the same. The bigger the job, the more effort you should put in to finding the right contractor. One strategy is to hire them to do a small job and see how it goes.

As with a doctor or lawyer, a lot is at stake if the contractor messes up. Problems can range from small annoyances (escaping pets, loud bad music) to major lawsuits if things go badly. The best place to start, I believe, is with your circle of friends and acquaintances, as well as neighbors who have had work done recently.

Once you have narrowed your search, ask each contractor you are considering for a list of references and call them. Ask about both the quality of the work, the ease of working with the contractor, and whether there were cost overruns. See the list below of “Questions for former clients.” For larger jobs with large amounts of money at stake, it’s also essential to check with the Better Business Bureau and your state’s contractor licensing board to see if complaints have been filed.

If you hire a contractor without a valid contractor’s license in your area (not just a business license), you are losing any protections offered by the licensing board (How to Find Fireplace Remodel Contractors Pella Iowa). Look under both the company name and the contractor’s name, as less-than-scrupulous contractors have been known to change company names when things get too sticky.

Otherwise you will lose any protections. Finally, in some states, it is relatively easy to see if a contractor has been sued and for what – or has sued clients. There may be a reasonable explanation for one or two lawsuits over the course of a long career, but I would want to know who sued whom and for what reason.

Have you worked with this general contractor (GC) before? How did the job go? How did it compare with other contractors you have worked with?Did the GC communicate clearly throughout the project? Was the GC on the job frequently? If not, who supervised the work on site? Were there any problems or surprises? How was the work quality? Were there cost overruns or delays, and why?Would you recommend them for your type of job?How long have you been in business at your current location? How many jobs like this have you complete? What is the average square-foot cost for this type of job?How much experience do you have with energy-efficient construction, green building, passive solar (or whatever your special interests are)?Who will supervise the construction on site?Who will I communicate with about job progress, changes, and any problems that may arise? (Yes, there will be problems!)What work will your own employees perform (as opposed to subs)? How do you prefer to work: competitive bid, cost-plus, negotiated price, or something other? What is your company’s greatest strength?(For remodeling): What efforts do you take to keep the job site clean and safe for children, and to keep dust out of the living quarters?Do you have a standard set of written specifications?Do you use a standard written contract that I can review?Hiring a general contractor, without the benefit of an architect to handle contract and job administration has its pros and cons, as follows:(without an architect involved in the construction phase)This is the simplest way to get a large project completed.

If there’s a problem, it’s the contractor’s responsibility to fix it. A good contractor will have good subs, who show up on time and do work to the standards set by the contractor. If you have a good contract, and a fair payment schedule, you will some leverage throughout the project.

There are no checks and balances, so you have to put a lot of trust in the GC.If there are problems, there’s no one to mediate (although some contracts have a mediation or arbitration clause). You’ve got to work things out directly with the contractor, who probably knows a lot more than you about construction.
