How case of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War against Navalny began to crumble

 

 

At the beginning of June 2020, an advertising video was launched on Russian TV channels to vote on amending the Constitution of the Russian Federation. Several people starred in the video, including Ignat Artemenko. Navalny posted a post on social media with comments to the video: 'Oh, here they are, darlings. I must admit that while the team of corrupt lackeys looks rather weak. Look at them: this is the shame of the country. People without conscience. Traitors. '

 

 

The investigating Russian authorities and the prosecutor's office considered that such a comment was enough to draw Navalny to the libel case under Article 128.1 of Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
