A Poem for Michael Jackson

It began at a very young age,
when he stepped onto the stage
He brought a kind of mystery
That would change history!
His voice was unforgettable,
strong and incredible.
His presence was profound,
even when he made no sound.
His aura was all around,
he was lifted to higher ground.
He moved like no one else on earth,
he gave the meaning of dance
a new birth.
He loved the world, his family and his fans
with all he was worth!
He broke boundaries everywhere-
He showed everyone and everything
he cared…..
HE CHANGED THE WORLD!
His love for all
made us stand tall.
His humanity was as large
as his heart-
He asked us all to do
our part-
To help make this world a
better place-
and he did it with love,
style and grace!
HE CHANGED THE WORLD!
He taught us to look inside ourselves,
and put our differences up on the shelves-
Put them away for ever and work together!
He taught us to remember who we are-
If we worked together we could go far.
To look at the “Man In The Mirror,”
To make our visions even clearer!
HE CHANGED THE WORLD!
He sent us back to “Remember the Time-”
when we were children and our lives
were nursery rhymes!
A collection of stories we can go back
And share-with the child in
ourselves-EVERYWHERE!
He taught us to love,
He taught us to grow-
He taught us to look inside
and let ourselves show!
HE CHANGED THE WORLD!
He gave the world a
chance to unite-
Brought out all our good and
all that was right!
He never stopped showing how to give
to others to give them a
chance to live!
He was a human charity-
Living his life with such clarity!
A role model for nations-even amid
his frustrations!
HE CHANGED THE WORLD!
He told us “You Are Not Alone,”
That we can’t always do things on our own.
We need each other to live a full life-
amid the good times, the hard times,
and strife.
He challenged us to care-
and asked us “Will You Be There!”
His music was true, melodic and upbeat-
When we heard it we could not
take a seat.
He made us take a stand and open our
hearts-
His music flew off the charts!
HE CHANGED THE WORLD!
His songs had style,
His songs had vision-
He forced himself and us to
make a decision!
He was a loving family man
who could always understand-
the love he could give to others-
his parents, his sisters and his brothers.
His most important role was being a father-
a role model for his sons and his daughter.
A constant presence for them to grow-
He taught them what they needed to know.
He gave them love far beyond the clouds-
an even greater love than he shared
with his crowds!
HE CHANGED THE WORLD!
And now that he is “Gone Too Soon,”
It prompts me to look up at the moon-
To say a prayer for the man who changed
The world with his “Smile.”
His music now reaches from the earth
To the sky-
Up to the heavens and we ask “why?”
Why did God need him more?
What does he have in store?
We will miss him forever for……
HE CHANGED THE WORLD!
He brought out many good things in me
That I believed I’d never see.
He gives me hope-to cope…
With losing the one who touched my life
from afar-
And now he is our shining star!
HE CHANGED MY WORLD!
I’LL MISS YOU MICHAEL!
