Project Tips
~ The edges of the crystal holes are sharp. Always make sure you have a buffer seed bead next to them. And always pull your thread straight up out of the bead. Never drag the thread across the edge of the bead hole.
~ The graphics show the beads spaced apart for clarity. You should pull your beads snugly next to each other.
~ The graphics may not always show the exact bead count. Please read the instructions for exact bead count information.

Let's bead!

The Bracelet
1) String on eight size 11° seed beads and join into a circle by passing back through six of the beads a second time. Pull snug so that the beads sit nicely next to each other.

2) Pick up two of the dagger beads, two 11°'s and two dagger beads and pass back through the previous set of two beads that your thread was exiting from.

Be mindful that you are creating circles of beads joined together.

3) Pick up six size 11° beads and pass back through the previous set of two beads that your thread was exiting from.

Continue alternating steps 2 & 3 until your bracelet fits around your wrist allowing for approximately 1" for the clasp.

Attaching 1st Half of the Clasp

4) When you have reach the end of your bracelet (just shy of approximately 1") attach one side of your toggle clasp. With your thread exiting out of the last two size 11° beads at the end of the bracelet, string on 3 or more* size 15° seed beads, the loop on the clasp, and the same number of size 15° seed beads. Pass back through the two size 11° beads and then through all the beads and the clasp loop you just added again for strength.

*You can adjust the length of your bracelet by adding several size 15° beads to attach your clasp with. If an entire section of RAW makes the bracelet too long, just adding a few 15°'s at this point can help you adjust the length.

The Embellishment

5) With your thread exiting out of the two size 11° seed beads at the end of the bracelet, pick up one size 15°, one 4mm SWAROVSKI ELEMENT and one size 15°.

Pass back through the next set of two seed beads on the other end of the circle of beads in the opposite direction. This will allow your SWAROVSKI ELEMENT to lay at a diagonal in the center of the RAW stitch.

6) Repeat as in step 5 but alternate the SWAROVSKI ELEMENT color.

Pull straight out of the bead hole and snug the beads so that the SWAROVSKI ELEMENT sits nicely in the center of the RAW stitch.

Always remember to buffer the SWAROVSKI ELEMENT with a seed bead as the edge of the crystal holes can be sharp.

Attaching 2nd Half of the Clasp

7) With your thread exiting out of the last two size 11° beads at the end of the bracelet pick up 4 or more* size 15° seed beads, the loop on the other piece of the toggle clasp and the same number of size 15° seed beads. Pass back through the opposite side of the two size 11° beads you were exiting and then through all of the beads again to reinforce.

*String on at least 4 size 15° seed beads for this end of the clasp as you'll need this extra space in order to get the toggle bar to fit easily into the toggle.

Weave your thread off into the base of the bracelet by creating several figure 8's. Tie single overhand knots in several places and than clip your thread close to the beadwork.

That's it! You're done! Your Dragonflies look gorgeous!
