And Grey's Anatomy actress Ellen Pompeo is the latest star to channel the late Farrah Fawcett's signature hair flick and retro style.

The 41-year-old Grey's Anatomy star sported tousled flaxen locks and a vintage jumpsuit much like the Charlie's Angels star did back in the day, as she stepped out in Los Angeles.
The pastel all-in-one, worn with a white vest underneath showed off Ellen's slim figure as it gathered tightly around her waist.

She paired the look with a oversized slouchy chocolate handbag, a pair of sandals and some aviator-inspired sunglasses.

Fawcett became a household name when she starred as private investigator Jill Munroe in the popular Seventies television series Charlie's Angels.

Her infamous haircut, dubbed 'the Farrah flick' was then mimicked by millions of women.
Ellen's outing yesterday comes as speculation about her character's future on Grey's Anatomy continues to mount.

The actress, who plays the eponymous heroine of the show which returns on September 22, is remaining coy about the future of her character, Meredith Grey.

'I haven't said I'm moving on,' she told Extra last month.

'I said that when my contract is up after season 8 in two years, I would probably not renew. I think the world has had a lot of Meredith Grey.'
Patrick Dempsey, 45 , who plays her on-screen partner Dr Derek 'McDreamy' Shepherd, has made it clear he intends to leave.

The actor told Italian Vogue that the upcoming eighth season is 'gonna be my last.'

'I do not know what's going to happen to the other characters, but for me it's done,' he said.
