1. Spend more time with the right kind of people. That is, the kind of people who value and accept you, and will always love you unconditionally.
2. Don’t ignore your problems. They won’t just go away. You need to face and confront them – even if it’s in small ways.
3. Decide to be yourself, with your own identity. Don’t live to please others … as it only leads to grief!
4. Instead of focusing on failure, see it simply as a lesson. We all make mistakes – it’s what you do with it that counts.
5. Be nicer and much more understanding with yourself. Choose to cut yourself some slack and try to be less critical.
6. Enjoy and appreciate the blessings in your life. We sometimes overlook this – but there’s plenty that’s gone right!
7. Cheer others on; help them believe in themselves. You can make such a difference in another person’s life.
8. Decide to be more open; express your views and feelings. They are part of who you are – so start to share them tactfully.
