26 января в Китае наступил первый день нового года по лунному календарю.
Китайский новый год очень традиционный и красочный праздник, с ним связанно много легенд и вот одна из них.
Давным давно, на земле было одно очень сильное животное, его называли Ниан. Оно всегда появлялось в канун нового года и поедало людей. Ниан был настолько силён и огромен, что мог съесть целую деревню за один раз. В те времена новый год ассоциировался только со страхом. Но однажды пришел старик, он не боялся Ниана и вызвал его к себе. Старик сказал злому монстру: «Я знаю, что ты можешь пожирать людей... Но ведь твоей добычей могут быть животные, подобные тебе. Ты сильный – и сражайся с сильными, а люди не являются твоими достойными противниками. Оставь их в покое»
Ниан послушался старика и перестал есть людей. С тех пор люди жили счастливо и ничего не боялись. Но старик не верил Ниану и перед тем как уйти он научил людей изготавливать красные фонарики чтобы развешивать перед каждым новым годом. Старик сказал, что Ниан боится красного цвета и не посмеет потревожить вас. После этого старик ушел, тогда все поняли что это был БОГ.
Традиция развешивать красные фонари жива и по сей день.
