Ornate and Very Rare Pairpoint Limoges Fernier Decorated with White Peonies. The Pairpoint Glass Company of New Bedford, MA was a professional decorating company that painted Limoges Whiteware blanks. Examples from this company are expertly painted and richly decorated by artist of that company. This large Ferner has scrolled designs in relief around the neck and base that compliment the design of the handles. The ornate and sculpted piece features beautifully painted White Peonies highlighted with Pink, with buds and greenery on a multi-shaded green ground. The beautiful flowers also feature raised enamel highlights. This exceptional Ornate piece, with the look and feel of Old World Antiques, surely must have graced the estate of French aristocracy!

Exquisite Rose Covered Butter Dish with Gold handled Finial Top, Gold-rimmed Scalloped Underplate, and a Separate Perforated Insert (to allow whey to ooze through). This is one of the prettiest butter dishes we have ever set eyes on. The Ruby Red Roses are painted with a dream-like quality against a lovely background of Classic Limoges mixed hues. The stark contrast of the bottom creme yellow colored dish and the top cover creates a striking vision. The breathtaking artistry of this set turns an already special, hard to find, Victorian Dinnerware piece into Porcelain Art Ware!

ARE & ORNATE antique hand painted Limoges 'Baron Girod de l'Ain' Old Rose Vase with Ornate Applied Feather handles. This is one of the nicest handpainting of naturalistic art style 'Roses' that we have come across. A tasteful blend of Rose Madder, Deep Magenta, Cobalt Violet, Royal Blue, Yellow Cream, and Phthalo greens compose the artist's palette. Tiny pale 'shadows' fade gently away into the background, creating depth and interest. Subtle hints of unexpected colors are skillfully used in restrained amounts by this talented artist to make the painting catch the viewer's eye, a subtle technique which is seen in the master works of the great early porcelain art teachers.Marked: Limoges France Latrille Freres Factory 1899-1913

This tussy mussy mold was created to resemble a tussy mussy flower holder that Victorian Brides used which allowed one to slip stems into a handle of the holder providing a comfortable feel and ease to hold the floral bouquet. Imagine creating charm to any Victorian Dresser or Table Setting by displaying this lovely vase filled with a small nosegay of wild flowers!1891

Renown Porcelain Artist 'E. Miler' Divided Sea Food Dish with Rarely seen Animal motif. This very well executed painting of Ocean or Sea life features a underwater scene with sea shells, coral, sea anemones, and fish. The subtle details of the Ocean's current and the draping fish net really bring the piece to life. The lovely irregular Roman Coin Gold border adds a touch of elegance to the piece. Made to protect the surface of wooden furniture from scratching, this lovely Victorian Comb and Brush Tray surely added ambiance to the Feminine Dressing table! Entirely hand painted, the attractive Red and Pink Tea Roses harmonize well with the background colors of the piece. The rich contrasting colors stand out against the dark green foliage, creating a three-dimensional effect. The High Relief Carved Mold with Gold Lavished Open Handle Lattice work adds such sophistication to the piece as well. Beautifully executed and signed by the artist 'McPerl' (sp?). and initialed on the back 'EHM'. 1891

This elegant large footed dish was created by the Professional artist 'Rene' who worked for the E.W. Donath Art Studio of Chicago (see page 256 in 'The Encyclopedia of Pickard China' by Alan B. Reed). With a twist of Art Nouveau flair, this conventional highly-stylized piece incorporates a colorful floral pansy motif. The design and color combinations are superb and the abundance of Gold work, with detailed black floral motif outlining throughout, makes this a real showstopper.

Romantic late 19th century hand painted Vienna, Austria floral Vase fully decorated with deep Dark Pink and Vibrant Red Petite Roses. Colors of creme with hints of lavender, burnt orange and a very light blue add an element of depth to the overall piece. The naturalistic artistry is impressive, with heavy shadow leafing running from top to bottom and exquisite detail in each individual rose. The heavy gold gilded flared top, in pristine condition, adds an element of elegance to the already exquisite piece. Although unsigned, the flawless artwork is similar to George Leykauf's style, suggest that this piece was professional decorated by a contemporary or one of the finer Late 19th Century artist of the time.
