The striker will have a scan on Monday to determine the extent of the injury he sustained on Sunday Premier clash vs Aston Villa
The Liverpool number ‘9’ will today undergo a scan to determine the extent of the injury he sustained in the Premier League fixture away to Aston Villa.
Fernando Torres was forced to leave the field thirty minutes into the first half of Liverpool’s scoreless draw at Villa Park. The Anfield striker appeared to pull-up when trying to chase down a long ball and was later substituted by manager Rafa Benitez.
The forward was to join the rest of Spain’s squad at the Las Rozas football complex on Monday at 20:00 hours (BST) as the national team prepares for the 2010 World Cup qualifiers versus Bosnia and Armenia.
