Fernando named in Spain squad for World Cup qualifiers

Vicente Del Bosque calls-up the Liverpool striker as the European Champions face Bosnia and Armenia in Group five games
The Liverpool number ‘9’ will join the rest of Spain’s squad at the Las Rozas football complex on Monday 1 September at 20:00 hours (BST) as the national team prepares for the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
Spain will face Bosnia and Armenia on September 6 and 9 respectively in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers. Fernando Torres’ country will first take on Bosnia at the Nuevo Condomina Stadium in Murcia at 21:00 hours (BST), before facing Armenia at the Carlos Belmonte Stadium in Albacete, again at 21:00 hours (BST).
The Spaniards are placed in Group 5, and will also have to face Belgium, Turkey and Estonia for a place at the 2010 South Africa World Cup.
Torres will meet up with his team-mates following Liverpool’s Premier League game away to Aston Villa on Sunday.
