I opened the wooden doors to see the rows of books in front of me. I bit my lip wondering if I’ll be able to find something about demons. Demons. I always thought that they were cruel and even their bones were drenched in evil, their souls soaked in darkness.

An image of the purple haired demon appeared in my head once more. Why did he save me? Why? Those bloody red orbs were all that I thought about lately.
I walked from row to row scanning the books which were covered in dust. Maybe that demon was a good one? I knew I was talking nonsense, but I needed to find out more about demons.

I finally stopped near the religious section. I scanned the books until my eyes rested on the bottom rows, which lay untouched by a human hand with dust covering them to prove the fact. I took out all of the books which even had a small hint about demons coughing at the clouds of dust which rose. I walked onto the reading section nearly tripping due to the heavy pile which I was carrying.

I dumped them on the nearest table and wondered from which one, should I start. I couldn’t stop thinking about that demon. It was weird. Illogical. Why would he save me from the other demons which only wanted to see my death? Those red orbs were surely rather hard to forget. I chose one random book and opened the front page. I kept on reading, but I didn’t find anything new, anything unknown to me. No notes about cases when demons saved people were mentioned among the pile of books I took.

“You took all of the books based on demons.” A voice said behind me, as he took a book from my pile and began flipping the pages. I took my eyes of the letters scattered on the old ripped pages and stared at the figure in front of me.
That deep purple hair reaching his shoulders, which was without a doubt familiar to me. His red eyes looked at me, waiting for my reaction.

“You…You’re a demon, aren’t you?” I said slightly raising the tone in my voice, ignoring the fact that someone could have heard me, besides the demon. He simply nodded.

“Follow me.” The demon whispered, as he put the book on the table and headed into the depths of the library. He walked rather fast, but soon enough I was behind him. The demon stopped in front of the glass door leading towards the balcony. Throwing a glance towards me, to make sure I was behind him, he opened the door. I walked behind him, being greeted by the chilly evening air. I hugged myself trying not to shiver.

“W-who are you?” I asked waiting for an answer.

“Chrono.” He said calmly, as his eyes seemed to sparkle. I had many questions in my head which I wanted him to answer, but he simply leaned close to me. He captured my lips for a while, before pulling away. That moment, I forgot about everything, before I could realize what happened he jumped off the balcony. I noticed him fly away to some unknown direction.

It was just like last time…
