The Shuishui Beacon Cannon enjoys the reputation of "North Sky Lantern and South Beacon Cannon". It is a unique traditional folk activity in Taiwan.

With its diverse exhibition halls and a wide array of fascinating artifacts, it's sure to captivate you for hours. You can even take some beautiful photos if you're in a hurry, but be prepared for some sun exposure. There is a lovely park and area outside of the museum to walk and relax and take pictures. You can but tickets to the permanent exhibition, the temporary exhibition or a combined ticket for both. Everything is clearly labeled and there is a mix of different things to see.
A very important thing you should know is that the new Taitung train station is not downtown. It takes roughly 15 minutes to travel by bus or taxi between Taitung train station and the downtown area, which is kind of an annoyance. There is not much interesting around the new station, apart from the BeiBBBBBB Museum. Taitung’s food offerings are various thanks to the heavy influence of a number of indigenous specialties.

Although it may appear to be a maze, this location is actually ideal for shopping and exploring due to the abundance of things to see and purchase. You can go here at midnight or early morning and enjoy a comfortable shopping experience. Also, you can find anything at Mustafa Centre at reasonable prices. For budget-friendly options, explore Singapore’s renowned shopping spots like Mustafa Centre, Joo Chiat Complex, Lucky Plaza, Haji Lane, Bugis Street, and Chinatown.

There is a bicycle trail next to it, which is very comfortable to walk. The picture book library itself is small, but very warm and cute. There are picture books on the shelves that you can read, and graffiti books and toys on the table that you can play with. Basically, the clerk will not care about you too much after explaining it to you, and you can feel free to Be in this space. In addition to selling picture books, the picture book store also has some exclusive Laima products (at least I haven't seen them outside).
Lively night market with many food venders along the street. Very easy to walk around purchasing food and a lot of 台東市區伴手禮 the venders were very friendly as well! We spent 3 nights in Kenting and we went to the night market every night.

Still, this rocky stretch of coastline is pretty, with lots of little tidal pools to explore. Chishang is known across Taiwan for its famous Brown Boulevard (池上伯朗大道), a cycling path through a gorgeous region of rice paddies. The attraction was catapulted to fame after an Eva Airlines commercial starring Japanese-Taiwanese actor Takeshi Kaneshiro was shot there.
Chikan Tower, a 17th-century military fort built by Dutch colonists, is steeped in history. Located near other notable monuments and attractions like Fort Provintia and the Grand Matsu Temple, it offers visitors easy access to Tainan's cultural landmarks. The area also boasts a variety of local delicacies such as milkfish porridge and Fusheng Bowl Cakes. And Anping Tree House are located in the historical heart of Tainan, specifically in Anping District, which is known as the oldest urban area in Taiwan. The district is home to popular attractions such as Anping Tree House, Anping Old Street, and Fort Zeelandia.
In the Taimali and Jinlun river basins you’ll also find a number of hot springs. Arrange a short in-depth indigenous village trip to experience life in these small villages and enjoy the warm hospitality of the local people. The 16 km2 wide island was formed long ago by a massive volcanic eruption. Today, coral reefs surround the island that is packed in summer with visitors eager to dive or snorkel in its clear waters. Zhaori means “facing the sun” and the hot spring is open from 5-6 am for people who want to soak and admire the sunrise. The touristy downtown street of the island is packed with souvenir shops and food stalls that you can try the island speciality – deer meat.

The gift shop is on the second floor after entering from the front. Went on a weekday so there’s less people and more space to enjoy the museum. The eating area is quite small so we had to wait for a table to become available. A great place to visit to see a restored historical department store from the Japanese era.

Our guests had a blast, created long lasting memories, and they even got to see Free Bear, first hand, dancing with his friends as part of the pre-show. However, we didn’t have much luck when we visited in early spring one year, so I would only suggest coming here in late spring or summer. It felt rushed but it was certainly doable, and this wasn’t a problem for us since our main goal was to spend several days in Kenting.

I would definitely come back when there's a chance.

The fare consists of mouthwatering dishes, such as savory pork, flavorful beef noodles, and appetizing eggplant.

Although it was cheap and relatively quick, the taste does not justify the hype. We ordered a fried chicken drumstick & a chicken sandwich. These items are already pre-fried and sit under a heat lamp. The chicken was average, seasoning was fine, but really nothing out of the ordinary. You can walk right along the train tracks here, where a few train cars are parked. There’s also some original wooden Train Warehouses (台東舊站機關車庫 and 台東鐵道藝術村261倉庫) and Old Taitung Train Station Platform (台東舊站轉車台).
