I have two favourite films: "Roman holidays" and "Dirty dancing".
I like the first one because Audrey Hepbern is one of my favourite actresses, she is an amazing woman and, of course, very beautiful, and I really admire her. And the "Roman holidays" is a tender and pure story about love between people from the different social groups.
And the second one is about love too, and the main part is played by Patrick Swayze (he is my favourite, too, except Bruce Willis, of course))).
Well, I like the melodramas. Well, on the whole, I like different genres of films, they just must be interesting)

And, could you please tell me if I was right in using the article here: "I like THE melodramas", and why?

2 weeks later i saw th GREEN MILE with Tom Hanks. do you know? i think it's great! Tom can live in the skin of his hero, it's very important quality for an actor i think. Tom plays brilliant in many films like FORREST GUMP, CAST AWAY, PHILADELPHIA...
and in this may i'll wait for see DA VICHI' CODE...

Well, Tom is a brilliant actor, I agree, I like him very much too)
I'd like to see "Green mile", but I didn't have such opportunity( And all films he plays in are very touching and interesting.

"Dead Poet Society" is my favourite. The plot is wonderful, the actors suit the roles perfectly and as most of them are not stars, one believes it's a true story (don't blame me for romance ;)), poetry, the message (Seize the day!!! Enjoy every moment of your life!) and the energy...
I've seen it thousands of times and would never enjoy it less!

That's 1989.
I couldn't find it at Gorbushka though, but you can find it via e-mule if you have one...

Jelllyjam, do you have Stream internet or do you have to buy cards? 'Cos I'm not sure you'll be able to find this very film in Russia. The first time I saw it, it was shown on TV, but then I was looking for it for years and bought my copy in England.
If you have limitless access, it's easier to install e-mule and get all films for free, as well as rare text books in English ;)

By the way, there are several films of the same film director which you'll be able to find in Russia - Green Card, Show Truman. You might have seen them already...

At home I have very low speed, and at work it's high, but there is trafic for which my company overpays each month, so I'm a little afraid))) I will speak to some people and may be install it.

Jelllyjam, here is the site where you can download e-mule.
http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/general.cgi?l=1 It's free and the programme doesn't require much memory, but to download films you'll need to use much traffic.
Anyway, that's the easiest way to get new films in any language for free.
For example, Russian films are at www.sharereactor.ru

Yes, I've seen this film. I like it very much. But I think that "Lost Highway" of the same director is more interesting. He makes very strange films)

I've seen "Lost Highway" just once and in Russian. Have to find the film...
And I didn't manage to see Twin Peaks to the end :( There are just a few series in e-mule :(((
I liked Hospital. It's also mysterious. By Stephen King.
Still, I prefer thrillers and Japanese horror films :)

Oh... I see. It's called "Fire Walk With Me". I've seen it, but there I could understand from the very beginning it was her father who killed her... Still, it's really interesting :)))

There are some forums and sites in the internet dedicated to the discussing of the different scenes from this film, and it's very interesting)
