Title: Part of the Plan EP
Warnings: N/A
Notes: I didn't intend on making this mix, but one night I was listening to my iTunes alphabetically by song, and all of these P songs just popped out at me. They're all very different, but they all fit the Joker in their own unique way. There's also a bonus track that doesn't start with P and isn't in the zip, so be sure to download it, because it's an awesome song. :)

1. Pain. Three Days Grace.
This song is pretty self-explanatory. The Joker likes pain. He likes to give it, and he likes to take it. Pain is his very, very good friend. ;)
Pain, without love
Pain, I can't get enough
Pain, I like it rough
'Cause I'd rather feel pain than nothing at all.
Anger and agony
Are better than misery
Trust me, I've got a plan -
When the lights go off, you will understand...
2. Panic Song. Green Day.
Every single word of this song applies to the Joker. It's more than cynical - it's spiteful, hateful, apathetic. Also, the instrumental first half sounds like it came straight out of the Joker's mind.
Ready for a cheap escape
On the brink of self destruction
Widespread panic
Broken glass inside my head
Bleeding down these thoughts of anguish,
Mass confusion
The world is a sick machine
Breeding a mass of shit
With such a desolate conclusion
Fill the void with - I don't care
There's a plague inside of me
Eating at my disposition
Nothing's left
Torn out of reality
Into a state of no opinion,
Limp with hate
The world is a sick machine
Breeding a mass of shit
With such a desolate conclusion
Fill the void with - I don't care
I wanna jump out!
3. Party. Nelly Furtado.
For Nelly Furtado, this song is seriously demented - and that's how the Joker likes his parties. And hey, alcoholism isn't out of the picture, right?
I'm talking to the mirror again but it's not listening
I'm cleaning my dirty mind like a toilet but it won't give in
I'm drinking spirits in the hopes that I will find myself one
But all I can rectify is that the party's just begun
4. Pierrot the Clown. Placebo.
The Joker does not make a good lover. Period.
And if you're ever around,
In the back-streets or the alleys of this town.
Be sure to come around,
I'll be wallowing in pity,
Wearing a frown, like Pierrot the Clown.
When I dream, I dream if your lips.
when I dream, I dream of your kiss.
when I dream, I dream of your fists,
Your fists, your fists...
5. Pity & Fear. Death Cab For Cutie.
This song is pretty dark for DCFC, and its tone is perfect for the Joker. And I can totally see the Joker going to a prostitute every once in awhile, can't you? ;)
I have such a envy for this stranger lying next to me
Who awakes in the night and slips out into the pre-dawn light
With no words, a clean escape, no promises or messes made
And chops it all up to mistake, mistake, mistake
And there are no tears
Just pity and fear.
6. Pretty. The Cranberries.
I'm not going to lie. Sometimes, Dolores O'Riordan's voice scares the crap out of me, and this is the song that frightens me the most. Her voice is so other-worldly, but at the same time so relentless and fierce, you can't help but get chills listening to her. Now, her voice combined with these seemingly-innocent-but-really-dark-as-dark-can-be lyrics makes for a perfect Joker song.
You're so pretty the way you are.
You're so pretty the way you are.
And you had no reason,
To be so insolent to me.
You're so pretty the way you are.
7. Psychobabble. Frou Frou.
This is definitely a Joker/Harley song, at their very worst. And it's hella creepy. Is it weird that this is one of my favorite songs of all time? Heh heh. :)
Now, I've had it up to here
Don't ever try that again
Why are you so quiet so suddenly?
Go on, have it
You're just dying to try me
BONUS TRACK: Moving Forward. Bitter:Sweet. NOT IN THE ZIP! DOWNLOAD
I just recently discovered Bitter:Sweet, and they are honestly like nothing I've ever heard before. Their songs and lyrics range from bubblegum pop to deeply disturbing. This song is one of their more disturbing songs, and it fits the Joker like his lovely purple gloves. The music is disjointed, combining classical piano and strings with electronic beats and samples, and Shana Halligan's voice is soft but absolutely deadly. She comes out of nowhere and creeps into your mind like a nightmare - and you can't help but love it. Very much like the Joker. :)
Please forgive me
I know not what I do
Don't restrain me now, not in the mood
Standing naked in the rain
One step closer to insane
No one left here to blame.
