"Hi,

My name is Jen and I got the wonderful opportunity to meet Ashlee Simpson @ the grand opening of the new amusement park in the Mall of America In Minnesota called "Nickelodeon Universe." This happened on March 15, 2008 and it was everything I imagined and more! I am a huge fan of Ashlee's and I have had the chance to see her in concert a couple of times, but I never got the chance to meet her until now!

I got to the Mall of America at 5:30 a.m. in the morning. Ashlee was scheduled to perform at noon, but I got there super early to better my chances of meeting her! I was the 8th person in line that early in the morning, so I knew that I would get to meet Ashlee! I was so excited! I couldn't believe that i was actually going to meet her!!

Ashlee came out on the stage at 10:30 a.m. and song "LOVE!" Kind of as a little teaser! She sang "LOVE" amazingly and the crowd really got into it! The Mall of America gave out 300 wristbands to meet Ashlee, but there were hundreds of more people that were there just to watch Ashlee perform! It was a great crowd!

Ashlee came back on stage @ noon and sang 3 more songs! She sang "Outta My Head," "Little Miss Obsessive," and "Pieces of Me." Ashlee's show was so energetic and she sang amazingly!! She said it was the first time that her band had been together in a really long time! They sounded awesome as well!

After her performances, she then signed autographs for the people who got wristbands! I waited in the line for about 20 minutes until it was my turn to go up to the table where she was signing!

Here is how our conversation went!!

Me: Hey Ashlee! I'm so excited that I finally get to meet you!
Ashlee: Awe, thanks! (Points to my Fall Out Boy hoodie) I love your hoodie!!
Me: Thanks, I love it too!!
Ashlee: (Pointing to my t-shirt underneath the hoodie) what shirt is that?
Me: It's also Fall Out Boy, lol, totally not planned!
Ashlee: That's so cool! Thanks for coming!

She was the cutest and nicest celebrity I have ever met! She actually commented on me! Not many celebs do that! She was so nice to everyone, and she was taking pictures with everyone that wanted one even though she wasn't supposed to! She signed other memorabilia for fans, even though she wasn't supposed to! It was a very cool setting, we weren't just shuffled through like cattle, we got to go up to her at the table one at a time and got a little chance to talk with her! She was so happy and just so genuine! Meeting her was seriously one of the best days of my life! I will definitely never forget it!"
